Rick gave a presentation about seven02 followed by a discussion with a group of Japanese furniture, glass, product and graphic designers, from the Chiba Design Network in Ohara, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
Rick's CCA (California College of the Arts) students participated in an international collaborative project based on a dye solar cell invented at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland.
"Design Makes it Different When All Else is the Same" was the topic of Rick Lewis' keynote talk at the 2007 SME Innovation & Transition Conference in Taipei, Taiwan. The symposium, hosted by the Small & Medium Enterprise Administration, Ministry of Economics and the China Productivity Center, focused on challenges facing companies as they look to grow in the global marketplace.
Rick led a two day workshop on what designing experiences is all about at the China Productivity Center Innovation Design Conference. The workshop included hands-on lessons.
Attendees included design managers and designers from companies including Acer, Tsann Kuen, Mustek and Tatung University.
